This tool streamlines the process of determining the cost of care for families when a child enrolls in a Pre-K program. The calculator requires enrollment staff to input a family's household income and family size to estimate the cost of care based on Maryland's new Prekindergarten sliding scale methodology.

Note: Not all Local Education Agencies (LEAs) collect a family share for Pre-K. Requirements may vary by district, so families should contact their local school district office to confirm whether a family share applies and to learn more about their specific policies.
