Personal Financial Literacy Standards 2026-2027
Public comment opens August 11, 2026. The draft standards are listed below, and comments can be submitted using the feedback form for each standard. These standards set what every Maryland student learns about money. This draft is not final: comments from this period go to the workgroup that revises the standards before they reach the State Board.
Draft Standards for Public Feedback
The Maryland State Department of Education is seeking feedback on proposed new Personal Financial Literacy Education standards for use in public schools.
Stakeholders are encouraged to review the draft documents below and submit comments using the feedback form for each standard. The public comment period will remain open through October 16, 2026. One review takes about 10 minutes. No account or login is needed.
